Best and Worst Case Scenarios for the Rangers Thursday Night

Best Case Scenario:

To ensure success on Thursday night, it is crucial that two things happen.  First, it is essential that senior, defensive linemen Nick White and Harrison Engler create disruption in the backfield and put sufficient pressure on the West Ottawa quarterback.  With deadly receiving threats and a strong passing attack, it is a must that the Rangers get into the backfield early on.

Secondly, it is important that the Ranger’s ground game gets going early.  With quarterback Tanner Hallock suffering a hand injury against Jenison, it’s necessary that senior running back Ty Collins carries the majority of the offensive load.  With the game being decided by only one point in the previous meeting, it’ll be a must win in the trenches for the Rangers.

Worst Case Scenario:

Worst case scenario for the Rangers is a combination of a strong West Ottawa defensive line and the inability to put pressure on the West Ottawa quarterback.  If the Rangers are unable to establish the ground game early on, quarterbacks Tanner Hallock and Mark Scannell will need to step up and create a sufficient passing attack.

If the Ranger defensive line is held back by West Ottawa’s big boys, it will be crucial that defensive backs Nick Beaumier and Kade Shomin step up and eliminate the threatening passing game the Panthers possess.
