Homecoming Court Q&As: Tate Greer
What was your reaction to hearing your name called?
“I was pretty shocked when I first heard my name called because there are a ton of other people who deserve to be up there.”
Why do you think you were nominated for court?
“I hope people who voted for me understand that I have made countless mistakes during my high school career and that I am not the smartest, most athletic, or funniest in the school. I do hope, though, that people see me as someone they can always talk to.”
Who do you think deserves to be nominated that wasn’t?
“Although everyone on Homecoming Court deserves to be on it, I think there are some people like [seniors] Cam Dewitt and Katherine Hartman who definitely deserve to also share the spotlight.”
What spirit day is your favorite, and why?
“Decades day always brings out the costume-obsessed kid in people, so I would have to go with that as my favorite spirit day.”
What does it mean to you to be nominated?
“It means that enough people out there think I have some decency left in my body to be on court with a great group of people.”
What is your go-to pizza topping?
If you were a song, what song would you be, and why?
“If I was a song, I would be “Payphone” by Maroon 5. It’s just too good.”
