Improv Central 2022 Q&As: Ella Hunnewell
What excites you most about Improv Central?
“Improv is exciting because you never know what’s going to happen even in the next minute; one word and the entire scene changes.”
Why should people watch Improv Central?
“People should watch Improv Central because the whole team has been working on this show, and even though it’s fun in an empty room, a show is nothing without an audience.”
On a scale from 1-10 (10 being the extreme), how nervous are you for the show and why?
“On a scale of 1-10, I’m about a 4. The fact we’ll be there together on the stage helps calm my nerves a little but it’s still nerve-wracking going up on a stage.”
What’s your favorite memory of being on the team?
“My favorite memory was on the improv Chicago trip when we’d play ‘Bunny Bunny’ and ‘Big Booty’ late at night. It brought smiles to every face and always ended in laughter.”
What is a song that reminds you of the Improv team?
“There’s a podcast called Off Book: Improvised Musical Podcast, and in their episode called ‘Fear the Ocean’ there’s a song called ‘Are you Surprised?’. That is a very specific song that reminds me of improv.”
If you could only live in one place for the rest of your life, where would it be?
“If I could only live in one place, I’d live in a forest in North California.”
What’s an improv game you enjoy?
“An improv game I enjoy is 4 Square because of how short yet in-depth you can go into a story. It’s always fun to see how different a story can become from that first line.”
