Flee The Facility is one of the best options for a more relaxed, layed-back horror game to play among friends.

Summer break is just around the corner, and what better way to start your summer than to FaceTime with your best friends and hop on some brand-new Roblox games. However, at certain times, it can be difficult to find certain games that fit the current mood. Whether it ranges from horror game nights to fun, humorous games, Roblox holds it all, and it may just take some digging to find the best possible game to bring a brighter mood to your summer.

Since around 2017, I have been playing Roblox daily, and it is easily one of my favorite activities to do with my best friends. There’s one genre that never fails to set the mood for my friends and I: horror games.

Doors by !.SPLASH

On one stormy night a few years ago, my family friends were over and introduced my sister and me to one of the most exhilarating horror games I have ever played, that being Doors. Before actually playing, I had seen this game all over the main page, as it is one of Roblox’s most popular horror games. However, it is much more thrilling than it is fun. 

The graphics and overall quality of the game are all right, and it runs perfectly well for a horror game, but when playing, I feel as if the only point to it is running from the monsters chasing you, which is a little underwhelming. This anxiety when running is no joke, though, as it has taken me somewhere around 20 times to get through this game without wanting to leave due to being shaken with fear. This game is a good choice for when picking horror games, however, only when in the mood to be jumpscared at random moments.

Midnight Horror Game Series by MiDDent

One of my all-time favorite Roblox horror games is the Midnight Horror game series, including games such as Midnight Christmas, Midnight Diner, and even Midnight Grinch. The game developers of this series have to be some of my favorites because their creativity to make numerous variations of the same game is unbeatable, and they never seem to fail at making an impressive video game. 

The game itself isn’t one of the top three horror games; however, it is still a fun, spooky story game to play with your friends when bored at night. 

Flee the Facility by A.W. Apps

I used to play this game a lot back in around 2018-2019, especially with my younger sister. However, I was reintroduced to it by one of my best friends a few weeks ago, and I find myself not being able to stop playing. The music and soundtrack add a lot to this game, making it super scary and memorable. Every map has a dark theme to it, and although it may be a little outdated, and the style is slightly lacking, I think it completely adds to the game. 

Flee the Facility will always be one of my top choices when picking a Roblox game to play with my friends, because not only is it super scary and builds your adrenaline like no other, but it’s also a super fun choice and an exciting way to compete against other friends.

The Intruder by Official_Bulderme

When picking the perfect game to start an exciting night of video game playing with my best friends, this one is always the first one I start with. This game has numerous plot twists, some of which often cause your friends to turn against you, making it a humorous and remarkable visit.

At moments in the game, it will often lead people to say things in the chat that, in reality, they aren’t saying. This will make the other players confused, and often be dragged out by the monster that everyone is trying to avoid. Unlike the other games, this game takes place in a small house, and the single objective is to continue checking cameras and make sure to hide from the “intruder” at all times. 

I honestly believe that this Roblox game is easily one of the best, simply because of how confusing and eye-opening it is. 

Apeirophobia by Polaroid Studios

One of the most widely known horror phenomena on the internet is the Backrooms. No one exactly knows where they came from or how they became so widely known. For those who don’t know, the Backrooms are a series of unknown and fictional buildings, places, and locations that are not only nostalgic but also eerie and unexplainable. 

Apeirophobia is my all-time favorite horror game to show to my friends when it’s time to do our routine Roblox FaceTimes. Not only are the graphics and quality of this game incredible, but it’s also one of the few that doesn’t lead my computer to heat up and turn off due to heat exposure. This game is terrifying, exciting, and nearly impossible to beat. Each different completion is brought with a new “Backrooms level,” making it exciting and a game that isn’t easy to get bored with.

Overall, Roblox is one of my absolute all-time favorite video games, as it is the perfect destination to play diverting, exciting horror games with some of your best buddies. Instead of other games, such as Granny or even Five Nights at Freddy’s, Roblox holds different variations of each terrifying game, making it a relatively better alternative to find fun, frightening games.
