JV Golf finishes second with eight teams at Thornapple Pointe

After a rainy day in Bowen Lake in Goin, Michigan, FHC JV golf took on eight teams in a conference match. They had opponents Greenville, Northern, Lowell, Cedar Springs, Beldine, and many others. Sophomore Mandy Ehrlich shot a 58 in 9 holes yesterday. As a team, they finished second over eight teams.

Overall, Mandy has scored the lowest on her team this season with a 45. Yesterday, Taylor Baumgardner scored the lowest on the FHC team. Looking forward the JV golf team has a meet at Thornapple Pointe next Tuesday. Looking to do well as a team and individually once again, FHC is looking for an overall successful season.

Junior Kennedy Poplin said that the JV golf team is planning to continue their wins at their next tournaments. Instead of playing individual teams, they play all of them at once multiple times throughout the season. Kennedy also said that the goal of this season for the whole team is to support each other and work together. Her personal goal is to beat her record and to enjoy every moment of her golf season.
