Ranger varsity tennis defeats Greenville 8-0

Last night varsity tennis took a win over Greenville. The teams score ended at 8-0 with only one flight giving up a game. The lineup was a bit different than usual with Jacob Wiltjer at 1 singles, Aidan Rynbrandt 2 singles, Advith Reddy 3 singles, and JV member Alew Lowell at 4 singles. 1 doubles Tuesday night was Nicholas Sjolin and Peyton Herbert, 2 doubles Joey Killman and Jack Ziegler, 3 doubles with the brother duo Michael and Christopher Battiste, and 4 doubles Tyler George and Ali Azeem. Jacob Wiltjer has played singles the last three years, but instead is playing doubles this year. Switching back to singles was a bit different for him.

“It felt good to go back to singles for one more match,” Jacob said. “Getting my ground strokes back on point was key and should help me when I return to doubles.”

This Saturday, FHC is hosting a quad welcoming Forest Hills Eastern, West Ottawa, and Mona Shores. It should be an intense match and FHC tennis team is excited to be hosting.
