Coming into the tournament, head coach Colleen Shields said they were going to see some very tough competition, and they did. The first match of the day was against Fruitport. The Rangers were able to win in 3 games; winning the first 25-19, losing the second 25-10, and winning the third and final game 15-10. In match two against Lakewood, unfortunately, the team was not able to win any games against them, losing 25-12 and 25-7.

The third and hardest match of the day was against Rockford, the number 1 ranked class A team in the state.
