The Lady Rangers swim and dive team competed in the Forest Hills Invitational this Saturday, hosted by Northern and Eastern’s combined team. Coming off of a close win against Northview, the team’s focus was solely Saturday’s meet. Their practice agenda leading up to this meet was to focus on technique and overall speed. The team’s hard work contributed to their success in this meet, as they took second place against multiple opponents.

With multiple teams competing, this team was unique in the sense that there were multiple divisions: the Blue, White, Red, and Green. The Rangers took second in the White, Red, and Blue Divisions, as well as claiming first place in the Green Division. Junior Jessica Schellenboom had another strong showing at the meet, taking first in both the 100 Breaststroke and 50 Freestyle in the Blue Division. The dive team had another great meet as well, as junior Anna Hansen took second, senior Colleen Kramer third, and senior Nicole Carlson fourth.

The swim and dive team faces off against the Eagles of Grand Rapids Christian High School this Tuesday, September 26, in another head-to-head meet. The team is confident and prepared and hopes to secure another victory to make their record 3-0.
