Freshman Volleyball defeats Lowell on the road 2-0
Cora Kelly and the Freshman Ranger volleyball team stays on fire as they sweep the rival Lowell Red Arrows 2-0. They won in high scoring matches 25 -17 and 25-23 . Cora’s hits in both sets to score numerous points ended up being key to the victories, since Lowell made it such a close game for so long.
The first game was a nice win for the Rangers, winning 25-17, as Cora’s big hits and her teammates’ passing helped the Lady Rangers grab a big 1-0 start to the set. The second game was a nail biter, as the Rangers were down 9-2 to start things off. But the team did not give up and came back to shock the Red arrows 25-23. This was a huge win for FHC, especially on the road against a very good team.
This win moves the Lady Rangers up to 4-1, with a tournament at East Grand Rapids coming up soon. They are sure to face some great competition, maybe the best of the season. The Rangers are on the hunt to win the OK White Conference. Their next conference game will be on the road against the Ottawa Hills Bengals.
