The Lady Rangers traveled to Eastern Michigan University this weekend to compete in the MISCA meet. This is a state-wide meet and requires a certain time for the swimmers and score for the divers to be able to compete. MISCA had competitors from all over the state of Michigan and had no divisions separating the schools involved, as a normal State Meet would. FHC had eight swimmers and all three divers qualify to compete.

Seniors Felicity Buchmaier and Molly Weiblen, junior Jessica Schellenboom, sophomores Olivia Luplow, Sarah Schenck, and Maggie Zorn, and freshmen Emily Johnson, and Olivia Hooper all had a qualifying time and were able to compete in this meet. Emily Johnson and Olivia Hooper swam extremely well, getting qualifying times for the State Meet in the 100 Breastroke and 100 Backstroke, respectively. The divers also had an impressive showing, with junior Anna Hansen placing fifth, with seniors Colleen Kramer and Nicole Carlson placing seventh and twelth respectively.

This week, the entire FHC Swim and Dive team hopes to come together against the powerhouse of East Grand Rapids. The winner of this meet will keep their undefeated record and be Conference Champions. Don’t miss this rivalry on Tuesday, October 17 at East Grand Rapids High School.
