The FHC swim and dive team faced East Grand Rapids in Tuesday’s head-to-head meet. The winner of this meet would keep their undefeated record and be Conference Champions. Despite a hard-fought battle, the Rangers fell to the Pioneers 109-72.

The swimmers were led by junior Jessica Schellenboom and sophomores Hailee Sincerbeaux and Olivia Luplow. Jessica placed third in the 100 Freestyle and second in the 200 IM. Hailee took second in the 500 Freestyle, while Olivia finished third in both the 500 and 200 Freestyles. The dive team had a spectacular night against the numerous and talented Pioneers. Junior Anna Hansen placed third, senior Nicole Carlson second, and senior Colleen Kramer first.

This tough loss puts the Rangers at second place in the conference. Next week, FHC swims against the Wildcats of Jenison. Come out and support your Lady Rangers on Tuesday, October 24th at the FH Aquatic Center. It is their last regular-season and home meet, as well as it being Senior Night!
