What are some recent successes you’ve had so far this season?
“So far this season has been great; I have received third multiple times and first once. My most recent success was probably at our meet against Spring Lake, where I came in first for the 200 IM. That win was so exciting, I hope to have many more moments like that one.”
Why do you swim?
“I swim because I can’t imagine my life without it; I have always swam.”
Who inspires you in your swimming career?
“My siblings have always inspired me throughout all of our swimming careers because they always try their hardest even if some things don’t end up going their way.”
What are your plans for the future?
“In the upcoming years, I plan on continuing to better my swimming and I hope to keep building connections with all the girls on the team.”
What is your favorite memory you have from swimming for FHC?
“I remember the moment I heard the announcer at the Spartan Relay meet saying the team scores at the end of the meet. When he announced FHC as first place, I remember how excited everyone was. It was one of the first times we actually felt like a team.”
What is the best part about being on the swim team?
“It is hard to choose just one piece, but if I had to pick, it would probably be the team in general. All of the girls are so nice and funny and I’m really enjoying getting to know them better.”
What is a quote that inspires you?
“The strongest people aren’t always the people who win, but the people who don’t give up when they lose.”
