Boys swim and dive comes out victorious over Spring Lake 103-83

Boys swim and dive had a tough dual meet against Spring Lake this past Tuesday. They were losing in the first half, but managed to grind out the victory. They ended up winning the meet by 20 points, with a final score of 103-83.

Senior Matt Wilson had an amazing night, overall placing four times. He got second place in the 200 yard Medley and the 200 yard Individual Medley. He also got first place in the 100 yard Breaststroke and the 400 yard Freestyle Relay. Matt came out of the meet with his goals met and his coach happy. Matt wasn’t the only one who had more than one placing. Sophomore C.J. Hier placed third in the 100 yard Butterfly and first on the 200 yard Freestyle Relay. The divers were led by freshman Sam Musgraves, who placed third on the diving boards.

Not only did the swim team place, but many individuals met their own personal goals for the night. Senior Paul Jeong shed five seconds off of his 500 yard Freestyle. His times went from 5:34 to 5:29.

Boys swim and dive now has a record of 2-0 in the conference. Their next meet isn’t until Saturday January 6th, and it will be the FH invitational meet. It is going to be an important meet, so make sure you’re there to support the Rangers.
