As his final season of wrestling is approaching, senior Ian Abel is ready to work hard to end his wrestling career in the best way possible after a long road.

How many years have you been wrestling?

I have been wrestling since 7th grade. I got into it because my friends did it, so I decided I was going to do it with them.”

What makes wrestling such an important sport to you?

Wrestling is important to me because it is the hardest sport I have ever done. It has taught me perseverance and grit.”

What do you do at every wrestling meet in order to do your best and be successful?

I always eat Takis the night before or the day of a wrestling match. I always get a nice warm up in also.”

What is the greatest part about being on the FHC wrestling team?

“The best part of being on the team is the camaraderie. We are all brothers and it is super fun being in such a great group.”

What do you hope to achieve this season personally?

This season I hope to make it to states as a team and make it to regionals individually.”
