JV boys basketball grabs its first win against Greenville 30-28

The Rangers finally earned their first win of the season against Greenville on Thursday night with a close final score of 30-28.

Going into the game, the Rangers had anticipated that it would be an easy game right from the start, but they were wrong. What came out of this mentality was a slow first half played by the Rangers. However, they consciously went into the second half ready to play strong defense and really kicked it up a notch.

As a whole, the team performed well in the second half of the game. They played exceptionally on defense and continued to pressure the opponent all throughout the half. FHC caught up to Greenville and with 30 seconds left in the game; sophomore John Corey made a three-pointer to pull the Rangers ahead and secure the victory.

This coming Tuesday, the Rangers will take on Cedar Springs on their home court in hopes of another win.
