Boys swim and dive went 3-0 on Saturday, Jan. 13 in the Battle Creek Lakeview Quad. FHC beat Battle Creek Lakeview by 78 points, Okemos by 46 points, and Midland Dow by nine points to sweep the competition and take first place.

Swimming three dual meets in one, the Rangers had to change who swam what event, putting some swimmers in unfamiliar events. However, this variety that didn’t stop FHC from crushing their opponents. They did not just have one key swimmer; they had multiple.

As usual, senior Matt Wilson and sophomore C.J. Hier had amazing nights. Matt placed first in the 100-yard Breastroke, while C.J. placed second in the 200 yard IM and sixth in the 100-yard Backstroke. Freshman Avery LeTourneau also had a good meet yesterday, as he placed fifth in the 200-yard Freestyle and sixth in the 500-yard Freestyle. Diving had success as well, as junior Ryan Talbot placed fourth and freshman Sam Musgraves placed sixth.

The Rangers had a very successful evening and added another win to their record, making them 4-0 in conference meets. They will be facing Catholic Central on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at the Forest Hills Aquatic Center.
