Girls varsity basketball preview: Lowell Red Arrows
Coming off of an exciting comeback win against Cedar Springs last Tuesday, the Lady Rangers look to carry momentum into this Friday’s game against the Lowell Red Arrows.
This Lowell team is very big, athletic, and experienced. Being a talented rival, when these two teams come together it is always a great matchup. While Lowell is 6-2 overall and undefeated in conference play, FHC plans to play its own game and not let the Red Arrows control the pace.
With both schools having talented junior and senior classes with multiple years of varsity experience, they will both have to out work and out hustle each other in order to come out on top. FHC will have an added motivation this game, however, as it is the school’s annual charity basketball game. This year’s proceeds will go to the organization I Understand to stop the stigma surrounding mental illness.
“It is definitely one of the hardest teams we will face,” junior guard Claire Baguley said. “But we are prepared to play hard and get a big win for our fundraiser game.”
