After coming off a solid meet last week, the girls varsity ski team was able to continue its success at the Caberfae races this weekend. The Rangers placed second in the GS as a team and fourth in the SL as a team.

Leading the team was junior Courtney Mcalindon and her freshman sister Abby Mcalindon. Courtney placed second in the GS races with a beginning run time of 33.87 seconds and a second run time of 32.95 seconds. Abby placed third in the GS with an initial run time of 34.26 seconds and a run of 33.49 seconds to follow it up. Courtney led the team again in the SL placing third, and Abby placed 44th in the SL.

Along with Courtney and Abby, junior Kayley Reynolds and senior Anna Tomsheck placed in the top twenty as well. Kayley placed fourth in SL with a beginning time of 24.83 seconds and a second run of 25.55 seconds. Kayley also placed fifth in the GS with a start run time of 35.09 seconds and a second run time of 34.21 seconds. Anna placed 18th in the GS with an initial run time of 38.11 seconds and a second run time of 37.49 seconds.

The team’s next race will be Tuesday, Jan. 30 at Cannonsburg.
