Last-second free throws secured the 43-41 victory for Northview the last time the Rangers and Wildcats played earlier in the season. Tonight, the Lady Rangers will take on the Wildcats at home in an attempt at redemption.

Last game, FHC played a stellar first half but fell apart and became sloppy in the third quarter. This complacency gave Northview all the momentum to come back and take the lead after three. In the fourth, the game remained competitive but Northview was able to outplay the Rangers.

Whenever the two schools play it is a competitive matchup and tonight will be no different. The Rangers need to continue playing tight defense and not allow the Wildcats to get open shots around the arc. Also, FHC needs to do a better job of taking care of the ball and having more meaningful possessions this game.

The Rangers are coming off a loss against the very talented East Grand Rapids and are now 8-6. Northview is 9-4 overall and is currently in second place in the OK White Conference, a game above FHC. A win tonight will not only improve the Rangers’ record and standings in the conference, but it will also prove to be a motivating factor, as it is the first game of the second round through conference games. Also, the game tonight is Senior Night. This year’s team is carrying six seniors, four of them being starters, and emotions will be high. FHC looks to use these emotions to come out hot and maintain intensity throughout the entire game.
