The winning streak is now at 6 games or the Ranger Hockey team as FHC defeated Stoney Creek Saturday afternoon at the Public School Showcase. Senior Charlie Brewer and junior Cole Ott led the Rangers to victory by playing physical and putting the puck into the back of the net, which was very important in such a high-scoring game. The Rangers now have a lot of momentum going into some huge conference matchups against Grandville and East Kentwood.

The first period started off fast. FHC and Stoney Creek each had 2 goals, which set the stage for a high-scoring affair. Stoney Creek came out of the locker room in the second period with a lot of energy, scoring another 2 goals while the Rangers could only score 1. Stoney Creek led FHC 4-3 heading into the third period. The Rangers then grinded it out for another period with energy and intensity that allowed them to defeat Stoney Creek 7-6 in a complete battle until the end. A win like this is huge for any team, and this gives the Rangers another enormous confidence boost as they went 2-0 in the Public School Showcase.

FHC has made quite the comeback recently; they started out the season 0-7 but have worked hard to secure a now .500 record. FHC squares off against the top-ranked conference opponent Grandville on senior night next. This will by far be the toughest task the Rangers have faced all season, but if they bring the same energy that they have the past six games of this winning streak, they could pull out a win against the Bulldogs.
