“GLI is our school’s version of a diversity club. It’s where a bunch of people from other cultures like ethnicities, races, sexualities, and stuff come and just talk about different issues and things that have happened in our school. It’s a big bonding community.
I joined in eighth grade because it was during ace, and I hated reading, so I wanted to join the ace GLI class because you didn’t have to read for the whole 25 minutes. So, what got me into it in the first place was me just not wanting to read, and then I got really into it and the topics that were discussed there. I ended up working a lot with it and doing it up here at the high school.”
