“Around October, my step-sister Carlie and I were bored, and it wasn’t that cold, so we went outside. Mind you, it was around 11:30 at night. We went and sat out on our trampoline, swaddled in our comforters. We sat there for hours. The crickets were chirping, and the sky was so clear. We talked about constellations and just enjoyed each other’s company. It was so relaxing. Eventually, we got scared because we thought one of out weedy neighbors would come and kidnap us.”
