“I’ve played [the trombone] since sixth grade. My dad played it, and then he got me interested in it. I used to listen to a lot of music, so I kind of got into it through him. One of my favorite things about [trombone] is that you can play a wide range of things on it; it’s not very restricting. You can use it in jazz; you can use it in concert; you can use it in different kinds of bands. That’s one thing I really love about it.”
