Varsity volleyballs season ends with 3-0 loss to Lowell

The varsity volleyball team was defeated by Lowell 3-0 in the first round of Districts for its last game of the season. The team was defeated in set one 25-15. They brought it a bit closer in set two but were still defeated 25-23. Set three ended like the first, 25-15.

Senior Katrina Bodkins once again led the Rangers in kills with 8. Senior Caileigh Treash, junior Lauren Schofield, and sophomore Tatum Otolski all had 5 kills. Freshman Sophia Shields had 4, and senior Kate Ryan had 2 kills as well as 18 assists. The team did great on defense with good numbers to show it; sophomore Julia Bouma had 10 digs, Lauren had 10 digs, Sophia had 4, sophomore Morghan Tilton had 7 and senior Katie McClure had 2. In addition to this, Katrina had 5 blocks and Tatum had 3. Julia was the only player to get an ace throughout the night.

This was the team’s final game. The Rangers took first place in one tournament and third in the silver bracket in another, as well as ending with an overall record of 8-4 in the OK White conference.
