The varsity B wrestling team spent much of Saturday competing in a round robin tournament with three others teams: Caledonia, Grandville, and Lowell. Although the tournament wasn’t team-scored, some individuals from the varsity B team placed first in their brackets.

Some stand-out performances came from sophomores Bryce Hysong and Will Brown, and senior Ben Keaton. All three went undefeated and placed first in their brackets at the end of the day. Other notable showings came from sophomore Cameron Roth, finishing with a record of 2-1 that resulted from a loss to Caledonia, and sophomore Sawyer Bosch, who also ended the day with a record of 2-1.

The varsity B wrestling team has multi-opponent duals on Dec. 21 at home at 5 p.m. to start the team season. The sophomore-led Rangers will be facing five other teams, including Forest Hills Northern and Greenville in the OK White/Black crossover event.
