What does being a captain mean to you?
“To me, it represents being a good role model on and off the field. When I was younger, I always looked up to the team captains, and I always wanted to be like them not only as a skier but as a student and a person. I try to exemplify those qualities of leadership for the next generation of skiers to learn from.”
What is a quote that inspires you?
“’They say you die twice, once when your heart stops beating, and the next when the last person says your name for the last time.’ To me, this means that if you want to ‘live forever’ you need to attempt to touch as many people’s lives as possible and do something with meaning and a purpose in life.”
What does skiing mean to you?
“It’s one of the only sports that you can truly do for your entire life, so in a sense, it’s a competition now, but [it’s] also great practice for what is to come.”
What is your greatest memory from skiing?
“My most fond memories are from skiing with the team at Caberfae last year and just having fun on the chairlifts and talking; however, the most vivid memory I have is crashing and dislocating my shoulder.”
What is one fun fact about you?
“I eat a bowl of vanilla ice cream every single day.”
