JV girls lacrosse takes home big win over Cranbrook to conclude the season

The Forest Hills United girls junior varsity Lacrosse team brought home yet another win Saturday to conclude its season. The girls took on the powerhouse Cranbrook High School Aardvarks in a very tough game; however, Forest Hills came out on top with a score of 10-2.

Once again, the freshman duo of Sofia Debano and Kali Coppess took control of the game and dominated on both sides of the field. Sofia had a stellar game on the attacking side of the field, as she went on to score 4 of the team’s 9 goals. Also, her ability to get open for all of her teammates was a key factor in the win and was also helpful in times of the Aardvarks playing lock-down defense.

Kali Coppess, the other half of the duo, played a phenomenal game on the other side of the field. With Cranbrook’s intense attack, Kali was able to force multiple turnovers, which was a very valuable part of the team’s win. Kali also had several steals and was able to help her team work the ball around in order to find Sofia on the attack.

The Forest Hills United girls junior varsity Lacrosse team concluded its season with this win, and they will look to continue this success with another good season next year.
