Girls swim and dive secures third consecutive title in the Spartan Relays meet

In its first meet of the year, the girls swim and dive team fought hard, resulting in a rare tie for first place. Midland Dow and FHC shared the title this year, competing against 10 other teams. The win extends the consecutive years where the swim and dive team have won this meet to 3.

The Rangers were consistent, earning top 3 in 6 of the relays. One notable performance was the 200-yard free relay team, consisting of Maggie Zorn, Olivia Luplow, Emily Johnson, and Maggie Hier, who finished in second place by just over a second. The 200-yard medley relay team got second in an incredibly close race, losing to Midland Dow by only .24 seconds. That team included Olivia Hooper, Maggie Zorn, Sarah Schenck, and Jessica Doyel. Besides those two teams, FHC secured two more second-place finishes, two third-place finishes, a fourth-place finish, and a fifth-place finish. Although the team has lost some really good swimmers, it is still going strong and entered this season with a good showing at this meet.

Coming off of this win, the girls will next be heading into a sprint meet at Zeeland against Forest Hills Northern/Eastern and Zeeland. After that, they will be heading into their first head to head against Rockford at home.
