Alex Souza leads the way for FHC Bowling, but the boys fall short against Northview 20-10

Senior Alex Souza had a great day at the lanes on Wednesday, bowling a 189 in game one and a 201 in game 2. This would ultimately not lead the Rangers to the promise land, and they would again fall short of beating another opponent.

FHC came into the match against Northview with a lot of confidence after beating Lowell the day before by a whopping score of 22-8.

“We played so well today,” head coach Grant Vermeer said. “The score doesn’t reflect how close today was.”

Alex, along with senior David Mason and the Illustrious junior Tommy Paine, made up for most of the Rangers’ scoring in the matches.

“They put all of their effort into it at the end in the baker games, but they would end up on the losing side of a great performance overall,” Vermeer said.

The Rangers did bowl on Monday, January 27th against Cedar Springs, and they are now moving on to face Ottawa Hills at home on Monday, February 3rd at Eastbrook Lanes.
