Boys JV Basketball beats Ottawa Hills 62-50

On Tuesday, February 18th the boys JV Basketball team faced off against Ottawa Hills, beating them by a score of 62-50. Sophomores Joe Murdock and Jacob Bonnett lead their team in a fast-paced game, sticking with the momentum the whole time.

Early in the game, the boys were down by nine, but they battled hard and gained the lead shortly after. Both Joe and Jacob hit some big shots for the team and had many good points throughout the game. Pierson VanGorp also played very well during this game, he made a corner three early in the game that clinched the lead for the boys.

“I think it was the most complete game we’ve played all year, we battled back from a nine-point defect early and defended as well as we have all season,” Head coach Jordan George said.

The next game for the boys is against Forest Hills Northern on Thursday, February 20th at FHN at 5:30 PM. This game is very important, as it will determine who will take first place in the conference.
