When did what people are wearing become important? Why does it matter if that girl is wearing off brand leggings instead of Nikes or if that guy’s entire outfit is Ralph Lauren Polo? If you’re able to wear that kind of stuff good for you, but do you really have to look down on others for not being able too?
I just don’t understand why what brand people wear is so important. Some people can’t afford to wear Nike, Lulu Lemon, Patagonia, the list just continues. If people are wearing whatever they want, regardless of who makes it, and they feel comfortable, then why are you judging them?
What people wear just isn’t important. It’s just another way to judge people based on how they look rather than who they are. It’s not what they wear that’s important, it’s how they wear it. You should be able to wear what you want and not be insecure about it.
Stressing about school, your future, and work is enough, and to add weight to what you wear is honestly just not worth it. You have to understand that people may not always be able to afford it. I know it’s rather uncommon at our school because yes we are a school who has kids from wealthier families, but that doesn’t mean everyone is like that.
Personality is more important than brands of clothing. Yeah, having name brand clothes might be nice, but at the end of the day, that shouldn’t be what matters. It’s about who you are and what you do in those clothes.
What I’m trying to say is you shouldn’t be judged based on what you have. Someone could be rich, and that’s nice and all, but what if they’re just the rudest, most ignorant, egomaniacal person you’ve ever met? Are you still going to hang out with them just because of the money? Is it really that important? What if someone less fortunate was absolutely the nicest, kindest, most generous you’ve met. What would you do in that situation.
I just can’t stand people judging others without getting to know them first. I mean like really getting to know them. I’m tired of it and wish people could just accept others.
