Senior Carson Mocherman is a multi-sport athlete that plays both football and baseball. Unfortunately, Carson was unable to finish his final season on the varsity football team after an ACL injury occurred during the first game of the season.

How did you injure yourself?

“I injured myself in the first football game of the season. I was attempting to make a tackle and had my leg planted and another person hit my leg from the outside in.”

How did your teammates and coaches help you through the recovery process?

“My teammates and coaches helped me greatly. I got lots of calls and texts from people asking how I was doing or keeping my positivity up. That really cheered me up on certain days when I was feeling down.”

How is the recovery process going so far?

“I am still early into recovery (just two months), but so far everything has gone smoothly, and I am excited to be able to run around again.”

What will this injury/recovery mean for playing future sports?

“As far as other sports go, I will be unable to play spring sports due to the recovery time of the injury. However, I am still looking forward to being active this summer and in college when I will be recovered.”
