Emmy Norton, Junior Writer

Emmy is a senior entering her first year writing for The Central Trend as a junior writer. She has always loved writing, especially poetry and creative writing, and is excited to finally learn more in-depth about journalism. Her interest in writing has also influenced her enjoyment of film and TV. When she is stressed, she will turn on one of her favorite shows or movies and dissect the dialogue, trying to piece together seemingly trivial symbols to understand the director’s primary intent for the film. It is a great distraction. Volleyball is also a passion of hers; her favorite memories have come from car rides to and from practice, long tournament days, and team bonding events. Even though she dreams about her future after FHC, she appreciates every moment she gets with her friends.
