Prom Court Q&As: Emily Johnson

What’s one word to describe how you feel about being on prom court?

“I would say I feel very honored. I am in such an amazing class, and the fact that people thought to vote for me means so much. I still can’t believe it.”

Why do you think you were nominated?

“I think [it’s] because I am involved in a lot of activities, so I have gotten to know so many amazing people through them. I also love talking to and getting to know people which is something I feel like I have gotten to do a lot this year.”

What is your opinion towards the alteration of senior prom this year?

“It is a little bit sad, but I am so grateful that we are able to do something, and I am very thankful towards the staff who worked hard to make something work.”

How severe is your senioritis?

“My senioritis is very severe. It’s getting to the point where it is hard to complete work by the due date, but I just have to tell myself to push through.”

What is one song, in particular, you hope the DJ will play at the dance?

“‘Levitating’ by Dua Lipa because it’s just a bop, and it’s so catchy.”

Is there anyone who isn’t nominated for court who you believe should be recognized?

“[Senior] Ellie Field because she is one of the nicest people I have ever met, and she is so goofy and easy to talk to.”

What was the highlight of your senior year?

“Definitely the musical because it’s something I have never done before, and it was such a fun experience.”

What will you miss most from your time here at FHC?

“I will miss the people the most [and] seeing them every day, as well as my sports.”
