How do you feel about your TED Talk being picked for FHC Inspires?
“I was really excited when I found out I was a part of FHC Inspires, although I was a little nervous to know I would have to present my TED Talk again.”
What is a quick description of your TED Talk?
“My TED Talk is about how often people, including myself, let bad moments define their entire days, and how I learned to focus more on letting the positive moments define my days.”
Does public speaking make you nervous? How has this project improved your skills?
“Public speaking makes me a little nervous, but I’ve been acting and singing since I was little, so I’ve gotten used to the nerves. This project has really helped with my confidence in speaking and slowing down to enjoy the experience rather than just getting it over with.”
Who are you giving this TED Talk for and why?
“Someone who needs to hear what I’ve learned making this Ted Talk, and maybe someone who needs to get out of a series of bad days.”
What do you hope people will take away from your Talk?
“I hope people take away that they have so much more control over their days than they think and that any day can be a good day no matter the circumstances.”
Who’s TED Talk are you excited to hear live?
“I’m very excited to hear Abby Cumings’ Ted Talk for a second time live because the first time I heard it, I loved the topic, and she did a great job presenting it!”
If your presentation was a color, what would it be and why?
“I would say my TED Talk is the color green because green represents new beginnings, and that’s what this TED Talk was for me and what I hope it is for other people.”
How does the layout of your Google Slides portray your personality and the topic of your Talk?
“My slides have very warm tones, and I think it creates a very peaceful atmosphere for my Ted Talk; I feel like the slides show off my creativity.”
