Prom Court Q&As 2023: Audrey Kind

What was your reaction to the court announcement?

“Initially I didn’t know because people were cheering for their friends so I didn’t hear my name [called]. I left 5th hour and went to class [but] I didn’t [find out] until my friends were like texting me ‘congratulations.’ [After] I was happy, I thought it was cool.”

How do you feel about being on court?

“It’s exciting because there are only 15 girls [nominated between] three dances, so I thought it was cool I got nominated and enough votes to be on it, and I didn’t know many people would [vote].”

What’s a goal you want to accomplish after senior year?

“[I want to] be successful [in] college and just finish it.”

Do you have any special plans for prom night you’re excited for?

“I’m going with my friends [to] this dance so that’s exciting. I think there’s an after-party and I don’t really go out that much so I’m going to go. I don’t know how long I’ll be there but I’m going to be trying something new.”

What’s your favorite comfort food?

“Probably Mac and Cheese because I’m kind of picky and Mac and Cheese is very easy and it’s hard to go wrong with it so like I kind of like all [kinds] of Mac and Cheese.”

How likely are you to succeed in a zombie apocalypse?

“On a scale of 1 to 10, I think I’d be a 5. I don’t think I’d last very long but I think I’d last a little bit longer than some people. I used to play soccer so I can run fast but then after that, I don’t know about that. If I had to fight off a zombie I think they’d win.”

What’s your favorite senior year memory?

“My favorite senior year memory would probably be senior spring break just because it was so fun. There [were] many friend groups there so we bonded. I went with my friend group and when we went there there were [about] 50 of us. I’ve never been to Mexico before so it was fun.”
