Noises Off Q&A: James Kaufmann

Name: James Kaufmann

Grade: Junior

Role: Tim Allgood/ASM

1.) What are you most excited about?

“I think I am most excited about seeing all of our hard work come together as one final project. I think that it really will be a fun show.”

2.) What makes you fit your role so well?

“What makes me fit my role so well is the fact that Tim is the type of guy who is jittery and trying his best, and I really mirror that.”

3.) What is your favorite part about being involved in the play?

“My favorite part of being involved in the play is my fellow cast members. We truly have a lot of fun at rehearsal, and they are great people to work with.”

4.) What should the audience be excited about?

“The audience really should just be excited about how funny it is. The play itself is full of funny jokes and movements, and the characters really put their own spin on it.”

5.) What is your favorite part of your role?

“My favorite part about being Tim is that he is always running everywhere. If he needs to go someplace, he runs there. Even when it is a calmer moment, he runs. It really makes Tim a lot funnier.”

6.) What difference does your character have that you’ve had to work through?

“The one part about Tim that I have had to work through is that he is not as energetic as I am so with certain parts of the play, I’ve had to tone it down.”

7.) Do you think theater has affected your overall high school experience? Why or why not?

“If theater has affected my high school at all, it has definitely put a positive spin on it. It really is a fun experience.”

8.) Is there anything else you would like to add?

“Come see Noises Off, Nov 9-11 at the FHC Auditorium.”
