Hope College

Why did you choose Hope as your final destination?

I love the atmosphere that Hope is offering. It is the perfect combination of strong academics and soccer that I was looking for. Everyone at Hope has been so inviting and friendly, it was an easy decision to make.

What was the turning point that made you want to play soccer in college?

Ever since I was little, I dreamed of playing at the collegiate level. It has always been a goal of mine and I knew that was what I wanted to do ever since I started playing.

What is your favorite moment from soccer career?

My favorite moment has to be scoring a volley from thirty or so yards away from the goal. It always feels great to beat up on East Grand Rapids, and scoring on people two years older than you is always fun to do.

What is your biggest goal once you get to Hope?

Regarding soccer, I want to make an impact in their soccer program right away. My goal is to earn a significant role in their squad and make a run in the national tournament.

Describe your journey from early soccer experiences to now.

I started playing soccer in Detroit for multiple different clubs. I moved to Grand Rapids and continued to play and train in Detroit for the CSA Wolves Academy. I broke my ankle my sophomore year but bounced back and still continued to compete. I won a state championship my sophomore year on varsity, in my first year playing high school soccer. I then went on to become an All-conference and an All-district player my senior year.
