“We actually hadn’t told either of our parents that we were dating yet. I mean, our parents aren’t stupid… So they obviously knew, but we didn’t say, ‘Oh yeah, he’s my boyfriend’ or, ‘She’s my girlfriend.’ I went to church with his parents and his grandparents on Sunday. We walked in, and his grandparents were already there (and I hadn’t met them yet), and we walked up to them. Everyone said hi, and [my boyfriend’s mom] said, ‘Oh, and this is [student’s name], she’s [boyfriend’s name]’s, girlfriend.”
