Student Council Q&A: Zoe Lipke
Name: Zoe Lipke
Grade: Sophomore
Running for: President
1. Why are you running?
“I decided to run for President because I was VP last year, and I loved it. Also, I really wanted to head into junior year being just as involved, if not more involved, in our grades activities.”
2. How do you believe you can help your grade?
“I have a lot of ideas that I am ready to put out there and put into action. I am very energetic and have a lot of passion for making our grade the best it can be.”
3. What changes would you like to see in your grade?
“A lot more participation because we lacked in that last year, but I think we can make a lot of improvements next year.”
4. Do you have experience with Student Council?
“I was President of my third-grade class at Ada Elementary, and that kind of started it all. Also, I was Vice President last year.”
5. What is the most gratifying part of being on Student Council?
“The best part of Student Council is definitely the fundraisers and the assemblies. For the fundraisers, just seeing all the money we raise, knowing what it is for, and being able to say that I am a part of it is very rewarding. On the assembly side, seeing all of the work that we put in pay off is also really great.”
6. Why should students vote for you?
“I think people should vote for me because I always give my full effort in everything I do. I am very motivated in school and my regular life, and I am involved in a lot of stuff around the school outside of Student Council. I also feel like [I am] an approachable person, so I think that may benefit our class knowing they can come and talk to someone if they have any ideas or concerns.”
