Student Council Q&A: Dani Ahmetovic

Student Council Q&A: Dani Ahmetovic

Name: Dani Ahmetovic

Grade: Junior

Running for: Vice President

Why are you running?

“I am running because I believe that it is time for the face of Student Council to be changed and for students to have a larger voice in school affairs.”

How do you believe you can help your grade?

“I want to help our grade specifically by holding more events to help increase unity among my class and to help our grade become more involved in activities that are outside of school, such as charities or world issues.”

Do you have experience with Student Council?

“I was in student council in 3rd grade and my old school’s executive board in 10th grade; this is my first year as a Central student.”

If so, what is the most gratifying part of being on Student Council?

“The most gratifying part is when you see your classmates enjoying things that you put so much effort into and realizing that your efforts actually benefited people.”

Why should students vote for you?

“Students should vote for me based upon the fact that nothing has changed in our grade for the last four years. Being new, I have the ability to see things from an outside perspective and to actually “get stuff done,” as my posters say. I don’t want our senior year to be treated as our freshman year; it is time for change and for our grade to make a mark on the school that’s unforgettable, instead of going through the same motions and remaining stagnant as we have in previous years.”
