What does missing out on your Senior season mean to you?
“Missing out on my senior season makes my athletic career feel incomplete regardless if I play next year or not. I’ve had a lot of complications in the past, and this just adds to it.”
What expectations did you have for the team and yourself going into the season?
“The expectations for this year were really, really high. Most of the team had put in a lot of work in the offseason, and it’s crushing to see that most of it was for nothing. I was really hoping to end my senior year being at least All-Conference and having a well rounded season. ”
What was your reaction when MHSAA announced that the spring sports season was canceled?
“When I first heard spring sports were canceled, I couldn’t believe it. I spent so much time in the offseason working towards this spring that I missed most of the fall events, and I can’t get that back.”
What are you going to miss most about playing for FHC?
“What I’m gonna miss most about playing for FHC is the brotherhood. There’s nothing better than playing your favorite game with your teammates every day, and I took that for granted.”
What would you say to underclassmen who still have time left playing for FHC?
“To the underclassmen: make the most of what you’ve got. No one expected a crisis like this. You may have missed a season, but you’ve still got more. Make use of the time you have now because you can’t get it back. People told me the same thing, and I blew it off; please don’t do that.”
