Grace Crook and Sophie Kovachevich- for being the most supportive people I know
Whatever I may be invested in, anything from a current obsession to a short-lived phase, you both encourage me to pursue what I love. You know me better than most people would because you take the time to pick my brain and understand what makes me tick. I’ve never met two people more giving, selfless, and permanently in a state of kindness. Both of you are so genuine and giving, I don’t know where I would be without your influence.
Alyssa and Payton Vincent- for always listening and giving me feedback
I always have something to say and you both are there to listen. It’s hard for me to express my feelings while they are all bottled up, but I know talking through anything with you two helps me to process and think; a lot of people don’t just sit back and listen. I want to be heard and you respect that.
Emma Zawacki and Allie Beaumont- for helping me whenever I need it
To know that I have two amazing girls keeping me afloat through the never-ending cycle of homework, I am eternally grateful; without you both, I could never get through the week. You are always keeping me accountable and helping me to achieve my own goals. I am not only grateful for our friendship, but also that we are a hard-working team.
Lynlee Derrick and Abby Wright- for always pushing me to do my best
I have grown so much, not only through my writing but also in myself, and I am inspired every day by both of you. There is so much freedom and a type of self-assurance between you two that I just can’t help but pick up and want for myself. You have also taught me so much in just a year than I had ever learned in all of my English classes prior to this year. You are both such amazing role models who do the absolute most to help anyone and everyone.
Maria Jacobs and Brooke Kushak- for growing with me
When we first started private lessons for tennis together, I didn’t know either of you that well. But after a few lessons, we all clicked and have become very close. I’ve loved not only watching our friendships grow but also our skills throughout this past year. I couldn’t ask for kinder, funnier people to be practicing alongside with. You both are some of my closest friends. I can’t wait for the season to start so we can see what we can do, but until then, I love every second of bettering ourselves together.
Marium Ogilvie and Celine Merhi- for being there from day one
You both were with me at the start of a lot of things for me, Marium being with me at tennis and Celine being with me through school. You both encourage me every day and know exactly what to say to make me feel better. You both are so compassionate and unconditionally loving. I’ve never met such positive people before and I’m so lucky that I can call you both my friends.
Paulina Diesen and Val Garza- for telling me where I can improve
Most of the time, we don’t like to hear that we are wrong, but I am beyond grateful to have friends that keep me accountable. You both aren’t afraid to speak your minds to me about something that is bothering you, and that in a friendship is something that a lot of people don’t have. My goal is to improve for the better and you both help me get there.
