Homecoming Court Q&As: Benji Zorn
What was your reaction to hearing your name called?
“I was very surprised and honored to hear all the claps and support from my classmates–[it was] a very special moment.”
Why do you think you were nominated for court?
“I think I was nominated for court because of my dedication towards the Class of 2022 and all of the activities and groups within the school I put hours and hours into.”
Who do you think deserves to be nominated that wasn’t?
“I feel like everyone who made court deserved it, but if there was one more spot open, I feel like [senior] Logan Verlinde fits a lot of the criteria to make a great court member.”
What spirit day is your favorite, and why?
“This year, the spirit day I’m most excited for is color day. [It’s] a newer theme brought to Homecoming week, and I think it will provide a lot of class unity. Also, this year with the seniors having their own shirt, I feel [like it] just makes it even more special.”
What does it mean to you to be nominated?
“It means a lot to me because I feel it shows that my classmates understand what I’m putting into the class and that I deserve to be a part of something really special.”
What is your go-to pizza topping?
“I’m super basic. I love some pepperoni and sometimes sausage.”
If you were a song, what song would you be, and why?
“Personally, I don’t like to listen to music, so I’m not [going to] pick a song, but I will pick a podcast and that’s JRE. I feel his guests are fantastic, and the way he views the world is something I try to do.
