Homecoming Court Q&As: Grace Hudkins
What was your reaction to hearing your name called?
“I was very surprised. It was kind of exciting. I was pretty shocked, but it was pretty cool.”
Why do you think you were nominated for court?
“I’m not sure. It could be because I do a lot of different things around here, like volleyball and theater. I don’t know; I just like to be involved in a lot of different things.”
Who do you think deserves to be nominated for court that wasn’t?
“I could list a lot of people. Honestly, one person is [senior] Katherine Hartman. She’s one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, and she deserves it.”
What spirit day is your favorite, and why?
“Decades day, just because I haven’t done it yet, and I think it’s something new and innovative and gives life to our school.”
What does it mean to you to be nominated?
“It means a lot, really. It means that a lot of people care about me and care about who I am as a person, and it means that I’ve made an impact on this school.”
What is your go-to pizza topping?
“I’ll have to go with pepperoni, just because it’s easy, simple.”
If you were a song, what song would you be, and why?
“Oh goodness, that’s a hard one. Honestly, [I’d say] “Different” by Micah Tyler; it’s a worship song. I listened to it when I was baptized, and I just really love that song.”
