Why did you apply to be a speaker?
“I applied because I really enjoyed giving a TED Talk, and I hope to inspire other people.”
How are you feeling about speaking at FHC Inspires?
“I’m feeling a lot better as time has gone on, over the weeks of practicing my TED Talk has improved a lot.”
What was the process of perfecting your speech?
“I ran through it in my head and even in the shower, I kept running through it and improving things, sometimes writing things down to help remember.”
What does your message mean to you, and what should it mean to the audience?
“My message is it’s never too late to turn things around for the better, to know that everyone should have a chance to turn things around even when it seems like it’s too late, it’s not.”
Did you ever see yourself speaking at FHC Inspires?
“In previous years, I haven’t thought much of it, and I didn’t think I’d be that good of a speaker, but I’ve been drawn here.”
Does your Google slide presentation reflect your topic?
“It really reflects the topic as it’s covered in math, themed to that sort of mathematician way, how a prisoner changed his life by learning math.”
What’s the best time of day and why?
“The best time of day is 4:30 to 5, best time for running.”
What’s something you can’t live without?
“I can’t live without my family because they really support me.”
