OK White All-Conference interviews: Bryce Clay
OK White All-Conference
How has this season been so successful for your team?
This season has been so successful because of our will to win. We simply want it more than our opponents and will do anything to win. Our coaches really emphasize that skill will never win a game, but it will always be the will to win. I have simply brought a positive attitude, so my teammates see this and want to get better every day.
What does it mean for so many players to be recognized as All-Conference or Honorable Mention?
Winning the conference this year means we get the most all-conference players. This is huge because it shows the hard work and the will to win. These are individual awards, but really the whole team made it possible for so many all-conference bids.
What is your best memory from this season?
My best memory would have to be the walk-off touchdown against West Ottawa early in the year. We have played in many huge games, but West Ottawa was our final real test and we had to get it done with 30 seconds left.
What are you going to take away from this season?
I have become a better leader and a great teammate this year. A big takeaway that I’d steal away from this season besides that would be the key to success is having a close-knit team with an unmatched will to win.
What are you looking forward to in the next game(s)?
I am looking forward to the challenges ahead, because this team has been tested all year. I am very eager to play in the huge games ahead. We have something special with this team, which is arguably one of the best to play at FHC in the school’s, but we have a long road ahead of us and we have take it one game at a time.
