FHC’s Got Talent Q&As: Marissa Lunt

Grade: 12

Performance: “TBD” by Marissa Lunt

Give an elevator pitch for your performance:

“For my performance, you’re supposed to expect singing, piano, and pretty much a song that’s based on how everyone’s hiding in disguise. And sometimes, you hide behind this mask, so that’s what you can expect from the lyrics.”

What specific qualities make your performance intriguing?

“I wrote this song by myself, so it’s an original, and I’m also playing piano, which I wrote the piano to it as well.”

How does your performance reflect you as a person/group?

“I think it just reflects my character for wanting to get certain messages out to everybody else and making sure other people understand their worth.”

Why did you choose to try out for the talent show?

“I think it’s really fun to see everybody else’s [act] and to support each other. Stuff that other people would do.”

How long have you been preparing for this?

“I mean from auditions until now, I practice every other day for like 30 minutes.”

If you could have one pet, any pet, what would it be?

“Burmese mountain dog because they’re really stubborn, and they love the snow and I love the snow, so I would go out with them, play with them in the snow all the time.”
