Everyone loves a good movie, but what exactly makes a movie so lovable? A huge aspect of a lovable movie is the music implemented into it, mainly because music is able to generate emotions and reach parts of the brain that words simply cannot reach. The platform that arguably has some of the best songs in their movies is actually a streaming service for many kids—Disney. Some Disney songs create top songs, and the vibe that the music is able to bring makes these movies much better.
Frozen
Ever since I was a kid, Frozen has been one of my go-to comfort movies. Not only did the plot always have me hooked, but so did the music. My favorite songs in this movie include “For the First Time in Forever,” “Let It Go,” and “Love Is an Open Door.” All of these songs have such a catchy beat, and even the ones in Frozen 2 are so good; “Into the Unknown” is an old favorite. I find these songs comforting because they immediately take me back to my childhood, and they allow me to revisit so many good memories, which is likely part of the reason I love them. Every song in both Frozen movies is so good, and it definitely tops a lot of movies with its soundtrack.
Tangled
Another song from my childhood that inspired me in many ways is Tangled, a movie with the cutest, cheeriest songs (besides the ones with Mother Gothel). A few of my all-time favorites include “When Will My Life Begin?” and “I See The Light.” Although this movie does not have a ton of lyrical songs tied into it, the ones it has are so good. Tangled is such a classic, and if I hear any song from the soundtrack, it is able to immediately turn my day around and make me feel more optimistic.
Descendants
One of my favorite childhood movie series ever, with movies that incorporate some of my favorite songs, are the Descendants movies. The soundtrack for these movies is so diverse; one song makes you cry, and the others make you feel like you’re on top of the world. My favorites include “If Only,” “Space Between,” “Queen of Mean,” and “It’s Goin’ Down.” These songs can also be found on my everyday playlist. Some of the songs bring out my tears and yearning feelings, while others feel empowering and have such a good vibe. All of the Descendants songs are absolute masterpieces, and I loved them when I was nine, and I love them now at 16.
Teen Beach Movie
A classic Disney movie with an abundance of songs implemented into the plot is Teen Beach Movie. I love the soundtrack in both of the movies, and the songs are consistently the most catchy. Of course, it is a movie about a musical, but that’s why the songs turn out so good. Some of my favorites include “Cruisin’ For a Bruisin’,” “Like Me,” “On My Own,” and “Rescue Me.” A lot of these songs have such a loving tone in them, which are the songs that interest me the most. Other songs have an unbeatable beat that no one else could produce except for Disney. A number of the songs in the Teen Beach Movie soundtrack are often repeated in my playlist, and I could listen to the soundtrack all day long.
Disney is able to produce some of the best songs somehow, always having a creative spin on them, and making them match up with the audience’s emotions perfectly. Frozen, Tangled, Descendants, and Teen Beach Movie have unmatched songs that not even the top artists in today’s day could top, hence why they have the best bangers of many Disney originals.
