JV Football throttles Ottawa Hills to stay unbeaten on the season
The Rangers blew out the Ottawa Hills Bengals by a score of 58-8 Thursday night at Houseman Field. Jackson Clay and the Ranger offense got into the end zone quick and often to help run up the scoreboard all night.
Jackson found the promise land with a 45 yard rushing touchdown with seven minutes to go in the first quarter. The Rangers increased their lead throughout the game, giving the Bengals a quick 30-0 lead at the end of the first quarter of play. The Bengals still struggled to find their offensive fluidity in the first half, as they went scoreless through the first 32 minutes. Going into the half, FHC was up big over the Bengals, 50-0.
The Bengals did play driven, however, and did not give up. They came out in the second half not wanting to get shut out at home by their OK white opponent. The Bengals returned a Ranger kick off for a touchdown make it 50-8 FHC at the end of the third quarter.
As the clock hit triple zeroes, FHC found themselves still undefeated on the year, securing a 58-8 victory. Next week will prove to be a big stepping stone into tougher OK white opponents for the Rangers, as Lowell looms ahead. JV will be at home in week four, playing after the freshmen game Thursday against the Yellow Jackets of Greenville.
